On December 15, 2021, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a webinar on ‘Reimagining Higher Education in the Post Covid-19 Economy: Key Areas of Focus and Strategic Challenges’ at 09:00 PM (BST). The webinar began with a welcome address by Prof. S. N. Ghosh, Director, IQAC-BUBT. Dr. Asit Sarkar, M.Com., M.B.A., Ph.D., Hon.D., Professor Emeritus, Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada was the keynote speaker of the webinar. Dr. Sarkar gave a presentation on the key areas to focus on and strategic challenges to choose for the betterment of education in Bangladesh after COVID-19. He also emphasized the goal-based approach in a continuing journey equipping education to reconfigure the future, transforming the Program Portfolio and Program Delivery Process, considering new models of engagement for the private sector and government, adapting the organization to the innovation agenda, preparing graduates for the regional and global economy, and challenges in implementing re-imagining, etc. The webinar was well attended by a notable number of faculty members of BUBT. Professor Md. Abu Saleh, Member BUBT Trust, and Advisor, BUBT also participated in the webinar. There was a question and answer session towards the end of the webinar. The session was highly interactive and lively benefiting all the participants. The program ended with a vote of thanks from Professor Dr. Muhammed Fayyaz Khan, Vice Chancellor, BUBT.
