Dhaka, Bangladesh – June 13, 2023 – Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) recently hosted a productive meeting with the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) to discuss matters pertaining to the preparation of applications for accreditation. The meeting, held on June 12, 2023, at the International Conference Hall, BUBT, saw the participation of esteemed members from both institutions.

The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Santi Narayan Ghosh, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at BUBT. Following this, Prof. Dr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, delivered an enlightening speech, emphasizing the significance of accreditation in ensuring quality education.

Prof. Dr. Md. Ali Noor, Pro Vice Chancellor of BUBT, also addressed the attendees, highlighting the university’s commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to meeting accreditation requirements. Mr. Zaved Mannan, Additional Director of IQAC, briefly outlined the diligent efforts made by IQAC over the past eight months to fulfill the accreditation criteria set by the BAC.

The meeting progressed with the heads of the Program Self-Assessment Committees (PSACs) for 12 programs posing relevant questions regarding the accreditation process and documentation. Prof. Dr. Sanjay Adhikari and Prof. Dr. S. M. Kabir, members of the BAC, provided comprehensive answers to address their concerns.

The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Harun-Or-Rashid, Registrar of BUBT, deans of all faculties, department chairs, Prof. Nasir Uddin Ahammed, Director of Accreditation at BAC, and Ms. Snigdha Baul, Deputy Director at BAC. Their participation contributed to the constructive discussions and exchange of valuable insights.

The meeting concluded with Prof. Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan, Vice Chancellor of BUBT, expressing gratitude to the Bangladesh Accreditation Council for their support and guidance. Prof. Dr. Md.
