The sixth meeting of the QS Ranking Committee of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held on Monday, October 27, 2025.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), and Convenor of the QS Ranking Central Committee.

Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Registrar of BUBT and Advisor to the THE Impact Ranking Advisory Committee, attended the meeting and provided valuable guidance on strengthening the alignment between QS and THE ranking initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali (Economics), Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman (CSE), Dr. Md. Aslam Uddin and Dr. Mohammad Raihanul Hasan (Marketing), Dr. Md. Zakir Hosain (Finance), Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin (EEE), Dr. Waziha Farha (Textile), Dr. Umme Habiba Rahman, Mst. Amina Khatun, and Mrs. Mahmuda Jahan Papia (Economics), Mafruha Hossain (Management), Eshita Datta (Textile), Sudipto Chaki and Md. Masudul Islam (CSE), Md. Sabbir Ahmed, Mohammad Saeid Hassan Khan, Kazi Abubakar Siddique, and Kazal Kumar Das (English), Ruhul Amin and Chitra Roy (EEE), Ms. Zeenat Zoarder Ripa (Deputy Registrar, Public Relations), Dr. Syed Ashraful Haque (Assistant PRO), Mr. Zaved Mannan (Additional Director, IQAC-BUBT and Member-Secretary, QS Ranking Central Committee), and Mr. Shahriar Ahmed Himo (Documental Assistant).

Dr. Md. Mosharaf Hossain, Deputy Chief Researcher at BUBT Research Graduate School, attended the meeting on invitation.

The committee reviewed recent progress on QS data indicators, discussed evidence collection and verification procedures, and emphasized the need for accuracy and timely submission. Participants also discussed strengthening research visibility, faculty achievements, and institutional outreach to enhance BUBT’s global ranking performance.
