Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) Hosts Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) for LL.B (Hons.) Program Assessment

DHAKA, BANGLADESH – July 19, 2026 – The Department of Law at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) recently underwent a comprehensive External Quality Assessment (EQA) site visit conducted by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). The evaluation, which took place from July 14 to July 16, 2026, marks a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance in legal education.

The esteemed External Quality Assessment (EQA) team conducting the evaluation included Professor Dr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haque, Head, External Quality Assessment Team; Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Awal Khan, Members (QA), External Quality Assessment Team; Professor Dr. Syeeda Anju, Member (Subject), External Quality Assessment Team.

In preparation for the rigorous BAC visit, BUBT mobilized a Core Steering Committee alongside the dedicated Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), comprising Professor Dr. Md. Milan Hossain, Department of Law and Justice, Head, PSAC LLB (Hons); Khaledur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Justice, Member, PSAC LLB (Hons); Tanzima Akter Sumi, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Justice, Member, PSAC LLB (Hons).

These committees worked in tandem with multiple specialized sub-committees to ensure full compliance with BAC criteria and Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) standards.

The multi-day on-site assessment involved a thorough review of the LL.B (Hons.) program, encompassing UGC-approved curriculum evaluations, career guidance activities, student welfare initiatives, and overall institutional infrastructure.

The successful completion of this site visit highlights BUBT’s continuous dedication to maintaining the highest standards of higher education and providing students with a globally competitive legal foundation.
