BUBT IQAC Holds Workshop on BAC Audit Documentation for LL.B (Hons) Program

Dhaka, 24 June 2026 – The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a focused workshop titled “BAC Audit Documentation and Accreditation Readiness (Academic and Administrative Offices) for LL.B (Hons) Program” on Tuesday, 24 June 2026, at the International Conference Hall, Shaheed Sujan Mahmud Building.

Chaired by IQAC Director Professor Dr. K Ahmed Alam, the session convened the Core Steering Committee, Oversight and Executive Teams, members of the LL.B Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), all faculty members of the Department of Law & Justice, and heads and secretaries of administrative offices.

Chief Guest Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, BUBT, underscored that accreditation is not merely paperwork but a commitment to quality legal education. The Special Guest, Dean, Faculty of Law, BUBT, addressed discipline-specific requirements for the LL.B program.

The interactive presentation (3:20–4:30 PM), led by IQAC, focused on practical readiness for the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) External Quality Assessment (EQA):

  • Documentation discipline: aligning the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), course files, exam scripts, assignments, and meeting minutes with BAC standards and criteria.
  • EQA process: systematic document review, consultation with the BAC Expert Committee, and structured site visit protocols.
  • Site visit readiness: stakeholder meetings with students from all batches, recent alumni, employers, faculty and staff; classroom observation; and verification of academic and infrastructural evidence.
  • Roles and responsibilities: IQAC as liaison with BAC; Head of POE and PSAC for stakeholder coordination; administrative offices for timely evidence production.
  • Exit meeting and scoring: transparent sharing of findings, opportunity for correction, and BAC rubric-based numerical assessment.

In his introductory remarks, Dr. Alam noted: “Your active participation and insights are vital to steering our LL.B (Hons) program toward successful accreditation. Preparedness today ensures credibility tomorrow.”

The workshop concluded with a unified call to ensure all academic and administrative documents are audit-ready well ahead of the BAC site visit.
