Dhaka, 17 September 2026: The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a program on “Knowledge Sharing on Accreditation, Quality Assurance (QA) and Bangladesh National Qualification Framework (BNQF) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)” on Thursday, 17 September 2026 at 3:00 PM at Meeting Room 220, Shahid Sujan Mahmud Building, BUBT.

Professor Md. Akhter Hossain Khan, PhD, Chairman, Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Professor Ahmed Abdullah Jamal, PhD, Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) was present as the Special Guest.

The session was chaired by Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor, BUBT and facilitated by Professor Dr. K Ahmed Alam, Professor, Department of English & Director, IQAC-BUBT.

In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. K Ahmed Alam highlighted the importance of QA culture. The Special Guest and Chief Guest discussed the current accreditation standards, QA mechanisms, and implementation of BNQF to ensure quality and global compatibility of higher education in Bangladesh.

The program was attended by the Treasurer, Registrar, Deans of all faculties, Chairmen of all departments, Professors, members of PSAC Committees, Directors, Heads of non-academic departments and faculty members of BUBT.
