The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) successfully organized a meeting titled “PSAC Meeting” on Wednesday, 01 April 2026 at 04:00 PM in Meeting Room 220, Shahid Sujan Mahmud Building, BUBT.
The program was graced by the Honourable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali. In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the crucial role of accreditation in modern higher education. He highlighted that maintaining academic quality and meeting accreditation standards are essential for strengthening institutional credibility, enhancing academic excellence, and ensuring global competitiveness of the university. Besides, he requested everyone to work with the IQAC officials to ensure and improve the overall quality of BUBT.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of IQAC, Professor Dr. K Ahmed Alam, whose thoughtful leadership and smooth coordination ensured the successful and disciplined conduct of the program. In his presentation, Professor Dr. Alam elaborated on the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) Assessment Sheet, discussed the Action Plan for Accreditation (BAC), and provided valuable insights into the BAC Scoring Rubrics. He also guided the participants on BAC Compliance Assessment using rubrics. Towards the conclusion of the meeting, he requested the active cooperation of all concerned in formulating a program schedule for training on key academic practices, along with presenting his own proposed framework for the training initiatives.
