IQAC-BUBT inaugurated its flagship faculty development program titled “Training on Key Academic Practices 2026” today, aiming to strengthen outcome-based teaching, assessment integrity, and classroom quality across all faculties. The three-day program brings together senior academics, administrators, and quality assurance experts to build capacity in line with the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) and national accreditation requirements.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the university’s commitment to academic excellence and urged faculty to adopt transparent examination practices and measurable learning outcomes. The Director, IQAC, outlined the objectives of the training and its alignment with BAC and BAETE standards.

Covered duties of invigilators, malpractice prevention, and secure script handling. - Session-02: Bloom’s Taxonomy and BNQF Four Domains

Explained cognitive levels and how to map questions to knowledge, skills, attitude, and values domains. - Session-03: Classroom Peer Observation and Teacher Evaluation

Introduced structured observation formats and constructive feedback mechanisms. - Session-04: Attainment of CLO and PLO; and CLO-PLO Mapping in Excel
Resource Person: Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin, Associate Professor, Department of EEE
Hands-on demonstration of mapping course outcomes to program outcomes and calculating attainment.
The first day concluded with active participation from faculty across Engineering, Business, Law, and Arts, setting a strong foundation for the subsequent technical sessions.
