Dhaka, 24 June 2026 — Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) held the 14th meeting of its QS Ranking Committee on Tuesday, 24 June 2026, at Meeting Room 220, Shahid Sujan Mahmud Building, Mirpur campus. The session ran from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

The meeting was convened by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Chairman, Department of EEE, and conducted by Member-Secretary Dr. Md. Asadur Rahman, Associate Professor, EEE and Additional Director, IQAC-BUBT.

Members of the Central Committee, eight sub-committees, and invited senior officials reviewed the final stage of BUBT’s QS ranking data preparation.

Agenda and key outcomes:

1. Review of overall progress: The Committee assessed the completion status of all assigned activities across the eight working teams.
2. Team-wise presentation: Each team presented final data, evidence, and supporting documents:
   • Team 1 – Setting and Infrastructure
   • Team 2 – Energy and Climate Change
   • Team 3 – Waste
   • Team 4 – Water
   • Team 5 – Transportation
   • Team 6 – Education and Research
   • Team 7 – Governance and Digitalization
   • Team 8 – Documents Preparation and Submission
3. Open discussion: Members raised queries on data validation, evidence archiving, and timeline for submission to QS.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur said, “Our goal is not just participation in rankings, but to reflect BUBT’s real progress in teaching, research, sustainability and governance on a global platform. The coordinated work of all teams shows our institutional commitment.”

Dr. Md. Asadur Rahman noted, “All assigned tasks have reached the final stage. Active participation and timely submission of verified evidence are critical for successful completion of the ranking activities.”

• Invited members: Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Mofiz (Chief Engineer), Prof. Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib (Dean, BUBT Research Graduate School), Joint Director of Accounts, Deputy Registrar (Procurement), and Assistant Registrar

The Committee resolved to complete final verification and upload within the QS portal deadline, and to continue institutional improvements aligned with international ranking indicators.
