Eighth Meeting of the QS Ranking Committee Held at BUBT

The eighth meeting of the QS Ranking Committee of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Meeting Room 220, Shahid Sujan Mahmud Building, BUBT. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Professor & Chairman, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), and Convenor of the QS Ranking Committee.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice-Chancellor, BUBT and Member of the Advisory Committee; Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed, Treasurer, BUBT (on invitation); Professor Santi Narayan Ghosh, Director, IQAC, BUBT and Member of the Advisory Committee; Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBSS); Prof. Dr. Kamiz Uddin Ahmed (Alam), Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid, Dean, Faculty of Law and Justice; Prof. Dr. Munshi Mahbubur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences (FEAS); Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Dean (Acting), BUBT Research Graduate School and Associate Professor, Department of CSE; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Professor, Department of Economics; Dr. Mohammad Raihanul Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing; Dr. Md. Aslam Uddin, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing; and Mr. Zaved Mannan, Additional Director, IQAC-BUBT and Member-Secretary of the QS Ranking Central Committee.

Other distinguished participants included Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin, Associate Professor, Department of EEE (on invitation); Md. Saiful Islam, Joint Director of Accounts, BUBT (on invitation); Keya Das, Lecturer, Department of Law and Justice (on invitation); Bashar Ahmed, Manager, IQAC-BUBT; and Mr. Shahariar Ahmed Himo, Documental Assistant (on invitation).

At the outset, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur welcomed all members and expressed his sincere gratitude for their active participation and continuous support in BUBT’s QS Ranking initiatives. During the meeting, members discussed key updates and reviewed the ongoing progress of ranking-related activities. 

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on collaborative efforts to strengthen BUBT’s international standing through data-driven performance enhancement and strategic participation in global ranking platforms.
