The Ninth Meeting of the QS Ranking Committee Held at BUBT

The ninth meeting of the QS Ranking Committee of the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held on Sunday, November 09, 2025, at 10:30 AM in Room 617, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Professor & Chairman, Department of EEE, and Convenor of the QS Ranking Committee.

At the inception, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Chair of the meeting, welcomed all members and expressed his sincere gratitude for their presence and participation in the ongoing efforts to strengthen BUBT’s performance in international rankings.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Associate Professor of CSE and Acting Dean, BUBT Graduate School; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Professor, Department of Economics; Dr. Md. Aslam Uddin, Associate Professor of Marketing; Dr. Md. Mosharaf Hossain, Deputy Chief Researcher, BUBT Research Graduate School (on invitation); Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin, Associate Professor, EEE; Dr. Md. Zakir Hosain, Associate Professor, Finance; Dr. Waziha Farha, Assistant Professor, Textile; Dr. Umme Habiba Rahman, Assistant Professor, Economics; Mafruha Hossain, Assistant Professor, Management; Mr. Tareq Imam Zahid, Assistant Professor, Economics; Kazi Abubakar Siddique, Assistant Professor, English; Mrs. Mahmuda Jahan Papia, Assistant Professor, Economics; Kazal Kumar Das, Assistant Professor, English; Ruhul Amin, Lecturer, EEE; Chitra Roy, Lecturer, EEE; Ms. Zeenat Zoarder Ripa, Deputy Registrar (Public Relations); Dr. Syed Ashraful Haque, Assistant PRO; and Mr. Shahriar Ahmed Himo, Documental Assistant.

The committee discussed ongoing initiatives related to BUBT’s QS Ranking activities, including data submission for the next cycle, updating performance indicators, and aligning institutional practices with global ranking parameters. The members also shared constructive suggestions to enhance academic visibility, research impact, and international collaborations.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair, appreciating the members’ active engagement and dedication to elevating BUBT’s global reputation.
