
DHAKA, BANGLADESH — Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) officially convened the 12th meeting of its QS Ranking Committee on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Shahid Sujan Mahmud Building. Led by the university’s QS Ranking Committee, the meeting marked a significant step forward in aligning the university’s academic and operational frameworks with global sustainability standards.
The primary focus of this high-level session was the formal introduction and strategy kickoff for the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Ranking 2026. This global ranking assesses universities based on their commitment to environmental sustainability, green campus initiatives, and eco-friendly infrastructure.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Professor and Chairman Department of EEE and Convenor of the committee, briefed the central committee, sub-committees, and invited delegates on specific team responsibilities and task assignments. The session established rigid frameworks for data collection methodologies, rigorous documentation requirements, and aggressive submission timelines to ensure an accurate reflection of BUBT’s green initiatives.
“Your active participation and cooperation are highly appreciated for the successful completion of these ranking activities,” Dr. Mansur noted during the session, emphasizing the collaborative effort required across all departments to drive institutional excellence.
The meeting concluded with an open-floor discussion where committee members collaborated on data synchronization and strategic planning. Acknowledgment of the session’s proceedings was formally copied to the office of the Vice Chancellor, the University Advisor, and the Registrar.
