
DHAKA, BANGLADESH – June 21, 2026 – The Human Resources Unit and IQAC of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), has successfully conducted a comprehensive training program titled “Key Academic Practices 2026 for Newly Appointed Lecturers”. The day-long institutional development initiative took place on Saturday, 20th June, 2026, from 09:15 AM to 05:15 PM at Meeting Room 220, BUBT.
The program was specifically structured to equip the university’s newest faculty members with essential academic and institutional workflows. The core curriculum covered critical areas of higher education operations, including Exam Hall Management, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation, and systematic Course File Preparation. Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, graced the event as the Chief Guest and delivered the inaugural speech to motivate the incoming educators.
Key Training Modules and Resource Persons
The workshop was divided into highly specialized, expert-led sessions throughout the day:
Program Orientation & Inauguration: Professor Dr. K Ahmed Alam opened the session by outlining the training’s core objectives. Following this, the Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, delivered his inspirational inaugural address.
Exam Administration & Hall Management: Md. Emarul Haq Joarder (Joint Controller of Examinations & In-charge of Controller of Examinations) led the first technical session focusing on the protocols of administering exams and efficient exam hall management.
OBE Foundations: Professor Dr. K Ahmed Alam facilitated the second session, which provided an in-depth look into “OBE: Bloom’s Taxonomy and BNQF Four Domains”.
Curriculum Mapping & Practical Application: Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin (Associate Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering) conducted the third session, guiding participants through the “OBE Curriculum, Attainment of the CLO and PLO; and CLO, PLO Mapping in the Excel Sheet”.
Academic Documentation: Dr. Md. Asadur Rahman (Associate Professor, EEE & Additional Director, IQAC-BUBT) concluded the training modules with a comprehensive walkthrough on “Course File Preparation”.
