A Conceptual Framework for Sustainable Transportation

Md. Aslam Uddin’s paper addresses the crucial goal of green technology: reducing the greenhouse effect and controlling global warming. The research examines the factors influencing consumer adoption of green tech products, environmentally friendly alternatives that are increasingly popular worldwide.

Theoretical Foundations and Impact

The study utilizes various theoretical models, prominently the UTAUT2 (Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), to develop a conceptual model. It identifies seven independent variables—performance expectancy, social influence, environmental concern, price value, hedonic motivation, facilitating conditions, and health benefits—and one dependent variable: behavioral intention to purchase. These variables are explored within the Bangladeshi market context, offering insights into consumer profiles and their green tech product purchase decisions.

Contributions to Environmental, Marketing, and Economic Perspectives

This research is significant from environmental, marketing, and economic viewpoints. It provides valuable insights into Bangladeshi consumer behavior regarding green tech products, offering critical data for marketers and policymakers. The study’s findings can guide decisions to promote sustainable consumption and reduce the environmental impact of the relevant industries.
