The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) convened an urgent meeting of its Faculty Quality Assurance Committee (FQAC) on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the Dean’s office. The purpose of the meeting was to review and finalize preparations for the upcoming visit of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) External Quality Assessment team, scheduled from April 20 to April 22, 2025.
Chaired by Prof. Dr. Munshi Mahbubur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Chair of FQAC, the meeting focused on evaluating the readiness of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), identifying areas for improvement, and coordinating support from other departments to ensure a successful assessment.
Key agenda points included:
- Evaluation of the EEE department’s preparedness for the BAC visit
- Identification of weaknesses and strategies for mitigation
- Support mechanisms from various departments
- Miscellaneous planning and coordination matters
Prominent attendees included senior academic leaders from multiple faculties and departments, such as Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid (Dean, Faculty of Law), Prof. Dr. ARM Mustafizur (Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities), and department heads from CSE, EEE, Textile, and Civil Engineering, among others.
