Dhaka, November 21, 2024— IQAC-BUBT organized a pivotal workshop on November 21, 2024, to prepare departments for compliance with the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) standards. The event, held at the Meeting Room-220 in the Shahid Sujon Mahmud Building, began at 2:30 PM and aimed to provide a comprehensive roadmap for fulfilling the 34 tasks required for BAC accreditation by the December 31, 2024, deadline.
The workshop underscored BUBT’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality, emphasizing collaborative efforts and effective task management. A detailed presentation by Mr. Zaved Mannan, Additional Director of IQAC, outlined the key tasks, which include developing the Student Handbook, Strategic Plan, Sexual Harassment Policy, Profile Viewer Data, Student Database, Core Values of Departments, Teaching-Learning Activities, and Work-Integrated Learning Events, among others.
Distinguished attendees included Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor, BUBT; Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, Advisor, BUBT; Dr. Md. Ali Ahmed, Treasurer, BUBT; and Dr. Harun-Or-Rashid, Registrar, BUBT. Faculty Deans, including Prof. Sayed Anwarul Huq (Arts & Humanities), Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain (Business & Social Sciences), Dr. Abul Lais M. S. Haque (Engineering & Applied Sciences), and Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid (Law & Justice), also actively participated.
Other notable contributors included Prof. Shanti Narayan Ghosh, Director, IQAC; Mr. Zaved Mannan, Additional Director of IQAC; department chairmen and various program-specific accreditation committee (PSAC) members.
