AI Awareness Campaign: “How AI Can Help Preserve Our Art, Culture, and Heritage?”

As part of the AI Awareness Campaign organized by the Artificial Intelligence Community (AIC), BUBT, and hosted by Technical and Further Education (TAFE), BUBT, a special outreach session was held at Mohammadpur Government College, and Monipur High School and College, Rupnagar Branch. The initiative aimed to inspire young learners to explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preserving and promoting art, culture, and heritage in Bangladesh.

The event began with the setup of an AI campaign booth, where students enthusiastically registered for a quiz competition centered around the theme “How AI Can Help Preserve Our Art, Culture, and Heritage.” Before the quiz, a short awareness session was conducted to introduce students to the fundamentals of AI and its creative applications in cultural preservation — such as using AI for digital archiving, cultural data analysis, and artistic recreation.

Over 200 students actively participated in the quiz, demonstrating remarkable curiosity and knowledge. The atmosphere was vibrant, with students eagerly engaging in discussions about how modern technology can coexist with traditional heritage. To appreciate their enthusiasm, 50 participants were selected for special gifts, recognizing their active participation and innovative ideas.

This initiative successfully bridged the gap between technology and tradition, encouraging students to think critically about how emerging technologies like AI can contribute to sustaining cultural identity in the digital era.

The AI Awareness Campaign continues its mission to promote responsible AI education among young learners, empowering the next generation to become thoughtful innovators who use AI for social and cultural good.
